Leaks

Hi all, can anyone tell me at what point you are no longer at risk of a leak. Am slightly paranoid and need to know when i can relax about this. :-)

My doc and paperwork said 6 weeks.

My doc said statistically the greatest risk is in the first two to three weeks. After about 6-8 weeks, the risk is pretty low. I was super paranoid about that, too. I still worry a little at 8 months, lol! I've read a couple of stories on here where people had leaks as long as a year out - but I think that's pretty rare and I'm not sure if there were other factors involved.

Thanks guys. I am currently reading 'The big book on the Gastric Sleeve' and the very first case history was a horror story where this woman got some type of pneumonia a couple of days after discharge. Then she got a leak and then another leak 6 months later. Didn't help my paranoia! X
