5 days out

Hi everyone! Just wanted to check in and ask a few questions. I am feeling pretty good (surprisingly better than I thought), but I am hungry. I am starting each day with a protein shake. Does anyone try non-pureed food at this point? Also, I have been walking a lot. Is it too much to walk two miles each night being so soon after surgery?

  • Keep on walking but don't go doing crunches and ab exercises cos the incisions are still fresh. The walking is good and will help a lot.

I've heard that if you're always hungry, you might need to try an anti-acid. You're most likely not feeling hunger, but you have alot of acid.

Follow your Dr's plan as far as food. That promotes healing so you don't want to deviate too much from that.

If you feel comfortable walking that much, good for you. Just don't push it too much too fast. Keep walking, that's great for your recovery.
