Hello! I'm still pre op, but does anyone know if you can use the protein mix called Visalus? It taste like cake batter and its the ONLY one I like. I've heard mixed reviews about the product, so I'm a bit confused in what to do.

I've never heard of that brand, but here are my Dr's rules for Protein powder:

1- must be whey protein

2- must be high in protein (15-30 grams/serving)

3 must be low in sugar (less than 6 grams per serving)

Visalus shakes only have 12g of Protein per serving. If you are still only a few months out from surgery

I wouldn't drink them. You need to get as much protein in as you can and there are other protein powders that give yo 20+ grams of protein per shake.

But if you are say a year out and can eat more and able to hit yr protein mark they are good. My friend has did the 90 day challenge and I plan on trying the 90 day challenge as well.

Good luck if you do try them but make sure you hit your protein marks.
