  1. Tomorrow I will be 3 weeks post op. My stomach muscles are still tender. Is this normal?
  2. Thanks everyone! My healing has been great except for this. I was wondering if this would become the "norm". Glad to know it might go away. All of these new sensations are hard to read.
  3. Thanks for replying! I am taking Pepcid 2x's a day. My doc's office today told me to try that for a few days and if it doesn't help they will give me something else. I am not drinking from a straw, and I'm drinking slowly. I hope this doesn't last.
  4. Was sleeved on 3/11 so 7 days post op. Today I've had heart burn all day! Is this something forever now, or just something common post op. It hurts so much. I felt great yesterday. Today not so much!
  5. Yes. I have phenergran suppositories. I threw up from my sleeping pill I think.
  6. Yes. I have phenergran suppositories. I threw up from my sleeping pill I think.
  7. I'm 3 days post off and have vomited about 6 times. I'm scared I'm going to rip open my new sleeve. Anyone has trouble with nausea and vomiting?
  8. So very sorry for your loss! I can't even imagine to know what you're going through. Sending healing energy and prayers your way.
  9. Thanks!! I really appreciate that!! Ready to get this done!!
  10. I'm all set and ready for surgery on 3/11. I am soooo scared though. How are you sure you are making the right decision?
  11. I my doc likes to use a 36 bougie. Is that to big? I reading about a lot of size 32's?
  12. Thank you for posting this. As of now, this will be my 3rd time chickening out. I'm ready this time.....I think. I'm still scared to death, and wondering if I'm making the right decision. I guess the only way to find out is to do it. I hope I'm making the right choice.
  13. So it's safe to say you don't regret having the surgery!? I'm still pre op and scared to death!
  14. M still pre op and Can't stand protein shakes. I've tried many, and I think they're all gross. What will happen after I have my surgery in January if I still can't stomach drinking them ?! Are there other options?
  15. Do any of you sleevers have Crohn's disease? If do, has it made your symptoms better or worse ?
  16. Hello! I'm still pre op, but does anyone know if you can use the protein mix called Visalus? It taste like cake batter and its the ONLY one I like. I've heard mixed reviews about the product, so I'm a bit confused in what to do.
  17. Thanks all! I have 90 pounds to lose and have no weight related health issues YET. My hair became VERY thin 9 years ago after my C section, and the hair barely grew back. Had every hormone test done and nothing seems to be know what the hair loss is from. I'm so terrified of losing more hair.
  18. Am I being vain by not doing the surgery only because of the hair loss side effect? I have thin hair to start that I'm very self conscious about already. If I have the surgery, I'm terrified I'm going to be bald. That's my only fear.
  19. What is a sip? Not to sure I know how to sip anything? I'm still pre op but I'm trying to prepare mentally on all the new ways to eat/drink. How much is too much in a sip?
  20. I chickened out last September because of reading all of the regrets. Now here I am months later having to re do all of the insurance requirements. From what I am told, people tend to post the negative. It's an outlet for them. Also, the people who did have complications might have been in poor health prior to surgery. Other than me being 90 pounds overweight, I am healthy. My doctor said he does not for see me having any issues, UNLESS, I do not follow his instructions post op. people point out the negative more thAn the positive
  21. Thanks for all of your feed back. Yikes, Olivia!! I hope my post op is not as bad.
  22. That's good to hear. I can handle that!
  23. Not literally! I would LOVE for someone/anyone to tell me this surgery is not terrible (pain wise). I've heard some compare it to a gall bladder removal. I've had 3 C-sections which were awful! My gall bladder removal was easy! Looking for advice!
