Eating too much

How do I know if I'm eating too much. I read how people can only eat few bites of food, I've. Noticed I'm able to eat one whole piece of chicken breast and avocado. Is that normal :( or am I overdoing it. I am pretty full though.

I don't eat very slowly, but when I am full, I know it. I usually start hiccuping or I just feel uncomfortable. It also depends on the food. Chicken usually does it for me...fills me right up. Avocado...not so much...kind of a slider food. And rice/pasta...fugetaboutit...I don't even try (had one bad incident and I am an experiential learner).

I am 4 weeks out and can only eat about 1 oz of meat and 1 oz of veggies at a time.

This worries me! I'm 2 weeks out and can eat more then that! Ugh this makes me so nervous that this surgery won't work :(

I think the amount that you can tolerate depends upon your stomach's healing process. My stomach may be a lot more swollen than yours. I wouldn't get discouraged, though. I would continue to measure food portions and follow the diet suggested by your dr and nut.
