4 Week Liquid Pre Op Diet

So as long as I receive the all clear from my cardiologist tomorrow I will hopefully and praying that my surgery will be August 16th! That means my liquid diet that starts tomorrow will not be two weeks but four. I feel good about the liquid diet now and know I can do this but I am worried about how I am going to handle four weeks instead of two. Anyone out there have a four week liquid diet? What did you do to make it through?

I had a three week liquid diet... the first few days are the worst, but once you pass like day 3 you'll feel much better.

The pre-op diet is to shrink your liver for a safer surgery and hopefully give you a head start on your weight loss!

Good Luck! You can do this!

Its not required with my doctor, no.

My doctor said that they only required 1 week, but I'm going to due 2 weeks minimum. I'm enjoying the food that I will put to death. I decided a year ago that I didn't want caffine and haven't had it since. I decided 2 months ago that I didn't want carbinated drinks, I haven't had it since. Now the things that are harder for me (ice cream, chips, french fries, etc.) I'm enjoying them for 30 more days and then good bye to them. I'm really working on my mental powers (hehe) to convience myself that bye bye food isn't going to be a problem, but I didn't get fat overnight and if it was easy to just not do it, then I would be skinny. I'm not! So I'm allowing myself some time to enjoy them just a little onger bfore I can't have them anymore.
