Here I go!

I am off on the Quest for the band..lol

I have just had my consult with a surgeon and I really like him.

I have made an appointment to see the cardiologist, I am so afraid of that stress test what if they find something and I can't have the band placed, I also go to see the pulmonologist.

The Doc. says i could have the surgery in about 3 months.

Only problem is my Insurance most likely will not pay for it...

I am so excited this could really be it for me. I am also so nervous.

Glad I found this group tho. You have all been very inspiring and informative.

Thanks

Looking forward to being one of you..lol

Amy, the stress test will probably be fine. One thing about it, the pretesting helps us know what status our general health is. Where will you be having your surgery done? Best of luck to you!

Hi Amy! Good Luck with all of the pre-op stuff. Its alot of foot work, but well worth the information we receive on our health (like Marie said).

Just wondering, have you talked to you ins. comp about paying for this surgery?

Thanks for the responses!

Marie~ I will be having my Surgery in Syosset Hospital in NY. Dr. Alan Geiss. I am looking forward to getting all the testing over with ASAP.

Paula~

I have already talked with my INS. Co. They claim that if I meet all the criteria that they will pay but my Surgeon said they have always denied the patient at the last Min. So if they pay I will be pleasantly surprised but I will not expect them to.

Leatha~

Thanks for the luck I can use all of it that I can get...lol

Thanks

Amy

Hi Amy...

Wishing you the best on you lap band journey! I hope that your surgeon is wrong about your insurance company! Good luck with your pre-op testing!
