Pickle Cravings

Okay this is an odd one but on Wednesday I will be 3 weeks post op. I've been doing great no complications and feel wonderful. The last few days I have been craving pickles. I did start my vitamins a week ago. I tend to have chronic low sodium (not a big salt user) and I know my potassium was low at surgery. I'm thinking this is my bodies way of adapting? Has anyone else experienced this?

Too funny! I had the mysterious 'pickle craving' also :) There was a thread I found around the time I started, and found this is a strange phenomenon. You're not the only one ;) Pickles, sour kraut, anything with that vinegary-brine taste, such a strange craving!

I always give in to the cravings. Low calorie, electrolytes, low carb, heck yes.

I had the same craving!! I had it before my surgery and then again after. I didn't eat a pickle, but I did drink some juice to hold me over! :)

Seriously can't believe so many people had the same craving. I had the same craving. I couldnt eat the pickle but I did drink about 2oz of the juice. It was like heaven. Once I did it I felt so much better!!! Lol
