Staples out today

I'm supposed to get my staples out today, but I'm slightly apprehensive. Is it painful when they take them out? Do they use a local anesthetic? They look gruesome and look like they are going to be painful to remove.

Thanks!

I did not have staples with my VSG but have had them before for other things, they usually are not painful coming out, since they are just coming straight out of the holes they are in they shouldn't hit any nerves or anything. Good Luck.

I had 8 staples with my c-section and it didn't hurt to have them taken out.
