I'm supposed to get my staples out today, but I'm slightly apprehensive. Is it painful when they take them out? Do they use a local anesthetic? They look gruesome and look like they are going to be painful to remove. Thanks!

Sitting in Florence now, my surgery is up next. My mom had hers this first and now she is sleeping and my sister is in there now. I am a ball of nerves!!

I've heard rumors that sometimes diarrhea is common after surgery an that makes flights difficult even with the Imodium. People are recommending taking some pads with you for the flight in case of *sharts*? I'm packing them because I would much rather be safe than sorry. Ooh, and extra undies!

I'm self pay in Mexico, so I'm on the low end of the BMI for sleeve spectrum. I don't need to do a pre-op, yay for me! I'm just so sick of the weight already.

I was curious for those of you that were sleeved at Florence, what kind of food was available for your support person at the hospital? Was it all Mexican food or was there also American food options available? Thank you!!

Does anyone know if there are televisions at Florence Hospital?

Quick question about this Marriott in Tijuana: if I can start to eat yogurt while I'm at the hotel, is that included like the broth is? Are you limited to the amount of broth you can have? Does anyone have recommendations for a 12 year old that is traveling with us to Florence and the Marriott? What can she eat there?

Is the OCC the same as Florence Hospital? I will be getting sleeved at Florence on the 5th with Dr. Kelly.
