Hi everybody! I am 7 weeks post op and I've noticed that every time I eat and get full I tend to burp for about 15-20 minutes afterwards. Does anyone have a clue as to why? It doesn't matter what I eat. I could have eaten a salad and I burp. I just ate chicken with some sauce and I am burping up a storm. I almost sound like a guy! Lol!

My dr told me it was acid in the stomach. He said the stomach will produce the same amount after the sleeve as before even though the stomach Is smaller. He put me on Prilosec. I didn't think it was doing any good until I ran out! I have been burping ever since. Got to get my refill! Good luck

could it be possible that you are eating a little to quickly and air is getting in or that you are just eating fast. idk never happens to me just a thought hope it helps

It might be... I'm going to have to try to slow down. I couldn't even finish my chicken leg. I felt that upper pain as soon as I was done. I stood up walked around and started burping a lot. Soon after the pain was gone. Guess I was too excited to eat! Lol! Thanks so muh!

I used to have acid reflux but it has dramatically reduced since surgery. Going to have to chat with him about it at my three month check up. Thanks!
