Hiccups?

I two days out and having hiccups. As you can imagine they hurt. Does anyone have this problem? Usually it is after 1 oz of protein drink. I am not nauseated by them or anything and I don't have pain until I hiccup. I am also drinking it slowly.

I had the same thing. They were painful, too. I still have them, but not as often and I am 2 weeks post op. Some veterans on here say that's the sleeve's way of saying you're full, so I believe them, but I sure was glad when I hiccuped and it wasn't painful!

I thought this was odd too. I had the hiccups about 5 times on my day two, yesterday. I asked the nurse and she told me that its because things were messed with down there. Haven't had any today though.

I had hiccups in the hospital and my surgeon said they are a red flag and I need to slow down when eating... Smaller sips did the trick.
