Has anyone tried body wraps after their vsg to tighten loose skin? It's a detox also so is it safe? How long should you wait? Do you think it would help at all to start body wraps before wls?

*Disclaimer* This is just my opinion...

I think they are dangerous and a waste of your money. You can become dehydrated and broke!

Don't lose site that VSG is a surgical tool to help you become more healthy.

Leave these fads in the biohazard bin with your old stomach.

All the wraps do is remove Water from the tissue in the area where they are applied, which could cause dehydration. They are expensive and temporary. It would be fine for a special occasion, but if you are looking for a long-term solution, wraps are not the way to go. The only way to truly remove loose skin is surgery- there is no cream or wrap that can permanently fix loose skin.

As for Detox..... If you have already had the sleeve you should have already had detox. The process of liquid diets jump starts the detox process.

I always wondered how safe they were, I've never tried one before. My hairstylist sells them and is always talking them up. I figured after wls they'd make you sick though.

You're better off keeping yourself well hydrated, consulting with a fitness professional for a good tightening and toning workout, and putting the money you're saving by not buying the wraps into a "nips and tuck" coffee can to be looked into down the road if the other two options don't yield the desired results (with your medical professional's blessing of course).

:-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
