what does the leak feel like? how did you know?

So I got sleeved 06/11. First few days were terrible, lots and lots of throwing up. Got my leak test done 06/13. It came back normal. But now I'm experiencing sharp pains around the left side of my belly button where the huge bruise is(from taking the stomach out). Could that be a leak?

Go on the internet and look up signs for leak after vsg. The pain I had was on my left side as well. It was horrible but its because that's the side they pull your stomach out of and my pain was from the surgeon cutting my nerves and that was a burning pain sensation. If u have a leak your symptoms would be severe abdominal pain, vomiting and fever. And when in doubt call your Dr or go to the er.

Hell,I knew from experience.

I thought I had the same because of pain but had no other symptoms. We gave it time and it eventually went away. Thye said I could have had a hematoma or bruise in there that just had to resolve. The chance of it being a leak is probably very small. Just trying to make you feel better because I worried to death with out any facts. Hope you feel better!
