Sleevers over 300lbs?

  • Popular Post

I notice that must sleeves are in the high 200's but is there anyone who started higher. My weight day off was 362 give or take a pound....my doctor told me the most common procedure for my weight was the bypass but the long term results are very much the same. Im 5'7" but I definitely strated off way bigger than some posts I see...just curious to know I'd I'm alone lol

I was 432. Had surgery on January 30th. Down 100 lbs

  • Started at 496. Day of surgery was 456. One year post op was 200. Now nearly 3 years post op I am 190 to 195. Can the sleeve work for higher weights and BMI? It did for me

I'm up there with you!! Surgery on June18th not exactly sure what my weight will be on surgery day yet (have a month to lose and 2 weeks of liquid diet ) but will start out WELL over 300 (hopefully around 340).

My heaviest was 322 April 15 surgery day was 305. Now I'm 290....it's been 1 month. 15lbs. Isn't as much as others but I'm following all the rules & it's better than nothing. Guess I'm a slow loser! LOL I'm glad to see there some more of us 300+ sleevers ;o)

Highest weight: 330

Surgery day: 305

Current weight: 220

I'm short, 5'4, so the weight is obvious on me, not that I could hide it...

Progressing along nicely I think. Not as fast as some, but slow and steady wins the race ;)

Thats fantastic!! How long has it been for you? I'm 5'1 so ya ...really visible LOL always thought 5'4 would be a perfect height.

I'm 456 lbs right now, my heaviest was around 480. My surgery should be sometime next month, still trying to nail down the date as we're closing on a house and I need to move before the surgery.

My highest weight was 370 and I weighed 360 on the day of my surgery (March 12, 2013). My current weight is 311. I am 5'8". You're not alone!

I'm 5'9. My highest weight was 405 lbs. surgery day weight was 387 lbs. Last weigh in weight on 5/3 was 342 lbs. I weigh every two weeks to avoid stressing out over every ounce.

My bmi is almost in the 40's. I'm very pleased!

Surgery day was 3/18.

I'm excited that so many of us can work collectively to leave to 300+ club and probably the 200+ lol....we all lose differently...One day at a time...or should I say one pound at a time. Lol

That's a lot to have on your plate at once. Best of the best to you in both!

Awesome thread! I was wondering that myself since a lot of people seem to be in the 200's when they start I'm a little different scenario because I am 6' tall. I had surgery 4/22 and am currently in the dreaded 3 week stall...it sucks!!

Starting weight 353

day of surgery 328

# weeks out 313

I am around 450 now and have 3 months and 50 lbs to go before I get a surgery date. ( Dr wants bmi down to 60 before surgery)

GIRLRFRIDAY...great, keep up the good work. Haven't made it to my stall yet since I'm such a newbie. But im sure the slow but steady will prevail in this scenario.

IVORYOWL....keep pushing that is great that you dr is trying to get you at a lower bmi early because then later it will be much easier. I know many insurance companies put restrictions on people as well. Cant wait til you post your date!

I started at 335, surgery day i was 322 and am now 294 and had my surgery 3 weeks ago :)

My surgeon told me he didn't want to influence my decision but he did say may good things about the sleeve so I decided and am happy with it!

I'm 332 and my surgery date is may 28th! I was starting to feel like a whale seeing people who are 180 and wanting the surgery :P lol!
