Sleevers over 300lbs?

  • Popular Post

I notice that must sleeves are in the high 200's but is there anyone who started higher. My weight day off was 362 give or take a pound....my doctor told me the most common procedure for my weight was the bypass but the long term results are very much the same. Im 5'7" but I definitely strated off way bigger than some posts I see...just curious to know I'd I'm alone lol

I was 432. Had surgery on January 30th. Down 100 lbs

  • Started at 496. Day of surgery was 456. One year post op was 200. Now nearly 3 years post op I am 190 to 195. Can the sleeve work for higher weights and BMI? It did for me

That's amazing! Congratulations. I'm praying/hoping that I can be that successful my first few months. I'm 2 weeks preop to date.

My starting weight was 448lbs. I was not required to lose any weight pre-op as I see many folks talking about. I am two years post-op and my current weight is 314lbs. My goal weight is 248lbs. Just as you have said I also see many people starting at my goal weight. Possibly when I reach my goal I will make a new goal.

Good luck sweetie.

I was sleeved Sept 27, 2013.

Pre op weight 410

Surgery weight 385

Hit a major stall these last 6 or 8 weeks.

But not giving up!!

Yes I have hit a stall too. But you have to re-evaluate what you are doing. I come to the forums for motivation because living every day life can throw you off track. I know what I can be doing differently. I'm trying to be honest with myself. We can break this stall!

Inspiration for newbies... Highest weight :315.6 Surgery weight: 297.5 Current Weight: 187.0!!!! 14 months out (4/18/13)

Our starting stats are nearly identical. I'm just 3 months out. I've lost 71 (28 of that preop) and a little overwhelmed with how far I have to go (although pleased with my progress). THANK YOU for sharing! I have to remember it's a marathon, not a sprint. Any advice on how you kept it coming off once it slowed down (assuming it slowed)? Did you have to decrease calories, do 5:2, increase exercise?

I was sleeved yesterday... little nausea sharp gas pain....sinuses are draining and it hurts to cough. I am very thirsty and tired..."remember" sip sip sip

Highest weight 337 in January

Surgery weight 310

4 months out today !

Starting to slow down already only lost 1lb in the last 2 weeks :( need to adjust my eating and maybe do some more shake only meals again

Here are my current and preop pics

I am a lil over 16 months post-sleeve

image-1267384970.jpg

Left was pre at 319 Right 3 are current-within the past month at about 170ish-- finally hit 166.4 today!

I started at 347. Lost 62 since my surgery in January! Lost 107 pounds total as of this morning! Best thing I've ever did for myself!!! :D Go for it!!!

My advice. .. don't do 5:2 or similar as part of weight loss phase. When my losses slowed down around 8 months post op I started reducing carbs, eliminating protein bars and then changed workouts to high intensity interval training. My losses went from 2 a month back to 10.
