birth control before the sleeve?

I am a newleywed and waiting on my consult with the surgeon. I went to the obgyn and I got refferred to a womens specialist and they recommended the implanon. I have been pre-approved for the sleeve.and I don't want to get something that will inhibit me from loosing the weight that I need to. I don't want to have surprise pregnancy and put my opperation on the back burner. What do you ladies use for contraceptive?

Been on the pill forever. Still on it with no issues.

I have Mirena in, but we just had our second baby... because like your concerns, I did get pregnant last year before my surgery and it had to be postponed for a year!! So far no concerns, or complications.
