Average hospital stay?

I'm being sleeved at the end of the month...my surgeon says I'll be in the hospital for 3 days. I'm just wondering if that's average?

I was there 2 nights.

I was told 2 also

doctor told me to expect 2 nights and that's how long I was there.

I had surgery on Tuesday at 9AM and went home Thursday around 9AM as expected. If no complications I was told 2 nights and that's what it was.

I was there less than 24 hours... went in at about 10 am surgery done at noon, was up and headed home at 7 am

I was told to expect two nights but I was there only one. I had a very easy post op period. I slept for about 3 hours after I got back to my room. The nurse came in and asked me if I wanted to try and pee and walk. I didn't get back in the bed till about 9 that night when I went to sleep. I was much more comfortable sitting in the comfy chair and it was SO much easier to get up from that to walk. I did that every hour. That helped a great deal. I was so very lucky in that I had no nausea so I was able to sip and munch on ice chips and keep it down.

Good luck!

When they went to do my barium swallow on post op day 1 I had so much swelling nothing would go past my esophagus so i ended up being there an extra day. It was a total of 3 nights. I was sleeved on a Monday and was discharged on Thursday.

I had surgery on Tuesday at 8am and was discharge Wednesday at 11am . Just one night !

I was required by my surgeon to spend 2 nights in the hospital. I went in on a Tuesday morning and was discharged on Thursday late morning.

I was there 3 nights because I have a pacemaker and my cardiologist wanted me there an extra night but 2 days is usually normal

I was there 3 nights typically my office does 2. However I had a lot of swelling in my sleeve which made me fail my leak test. I had to stay until liquids would move down.
