Wearing Jeans again.

I had my surgery 12 days ago, I feel good but I imagine it will be a while before I wear jeans. How long postop did it take before you wore jeans?

I wore jeans about 2 weeks after surgery but wearing bra was a whole different story. I couldn't wear a bra longer than an hour for over a month. Horrible. Wear what makes you comfortable. Dresses and spandex were are life savers :)

Woohoo!!! I'll be 3 weeks post op on tues, and I wore jeans today!!! The same jeans that were tight on me the weekend before surgery now fit just a bit loose!!!!! Love it!!!!!!!

I wore them home from the hospital. For some reason, I never had much incisional or abdominal pain.

Ok, you younger ladies or any ladies that are more in tune with fashion. How weird would leggings look on a 54 year old fat woman with a dress? I only see 6 year olds in leggings but I see skinny chicks in skin tight pants that are like leggings. With a dress they should end under your knee right? I just cant bare my fat white legs to the public.

Do you mean leggings like tights? I think of those as more something for fall/winter, but honestly, I think anything goes--I would go with whatever makes you feel comfortable. Or you could get some opaque type hose.

Has anyone tried wearing Spanx post op? To try to minimize sagging? I know that when ppl get lipo they are required to wear girdles after to keep the skin from sagging?

I have thought about this too. I'm concerned for the pain since I can't bend or contort right now to get in them. I'm thinking it may be a good idea though.

I wear dresses and leggings almost everyday. I'm 22 so I know you are worried about being too old but I don't think you are. As long as the dress suits your style I'm sure you could pull it off :)

Vegasneon...if you are handy with a sewing machine maybe you want to convert a couple pairs of your jeans to the "pregnancy-style" ones with the stretchy panel around belly...I had a former boss that did this while she was pregnant...imagine it would be handy in this situation as well

So Funny that this subject came up today! I am 15 days post-op and wore jeans to work for the first time today.. I'll let you know how it goes;-)

Oh thank you, maybe this will become my new style!

I actually thought of that because I did that when I was pregnant. Last resort!

Please do! Are you wearing gauze pads over your incisions or are they "naked" ?
