I am 6 weeks out. Started (pre-op) at 256. Lost to 246 day of surgery. First 2 weeks, I lost 15 lbs, to 229.

In the past month? 2 pounds.

I eat 4 meals generally. Yogurt. chicken. Shrimp. Fish. Hummus. SF popsicles. coffee, crystal light, Water. No intolerances.

No I am not writing down every bite I eat. I have been on a diet since I was 12. I don't need to look to see that 2 slices of deli turkey is a serving and weighs about 1 ounce. Been there for 40 years. I know how to do this part.

No sugar. Few carbs - 50 ish/day. Occasional bite of veggies/salad

I have upped calories. Lowered calories. Upped Protein, lowered protein. Upped fluids. Upped carbs, lowered carbs.

I do water exercise 5 days a week. I have lost 10 inches.

I really don't drink as much as I should. But I try.

I'm done. I think I am one of the true sleeve failures.

So, my choices now?

I am trying to just let it go, eat like a regular person - have always been a "clean" eater, just way too much.

Not now. 3 ounces and I am full.

I will just live my life.

I put the scale in the car.

Sooooooooo sad.

I feel your pain. As others have mentioned tracking what you eat. I use myfitnesspal and its pretty easy to see what Im eating, exercising, and it tracks everything. After reading some other posts, I'm wondering if Im eating or taking in too much. Dont give up, Im not even though Im wondering why some days. I feel like this was my last ditch effort after fighting the fat my entire life. I really had high hopes that this would finally give me the edge I needed to finally get it under control and I feel like its been all for not. But Im not giving up. I am losing inches, just not weight, go figure. Keep your head up and so will I.

You said you were getting about 50ish carbs a day. Have you tried eating fewer carbs? For me that is to many. I try to stay to protein with veggies and occassionally some fruit like berries or melons and only a little of that. Hang in there you are still newly sleeved. Did you measure yourself? If you are losing inches then your sleeve is working! Many times when the scale isn't going down the inches are.

This is still the process of weight loss and soon your scale will show a difference.Good luck to you!! :)

Everyone has stalls. You're too early out to think that you failed. I stalled for 4-6 weeks at one point. And yes, I also thought I was a sleeve failure.

You're doing everything right, give it some time and be patient. Talk to your NUT if you have concerns about your food, you should also try writing down what you're eating. You'd be surprised how those little meals can add up.

Chin up and hang in there!

Suzanne, ur OP was 4 months ago - how have you done since then?

Doesn't look like she has logged in since May 9, 2013...

I am on my 2nd sleeve' date=' I can't stay on a liquid diet for another 2 weeks. I had to add an once of fish and juice some veggies. I was literally fainting. O am scared to stretch this thing out again. I stay under 1,000cals and use spark people.com[/quote']

Yeah, this is interesting. What do they cut out for a 2nd sleeve? Is it somewhere between 5-10%? I remember reading a long time back that 85% is chosen because anything more is usually too restrictive and creates other challenges related to acid production.

I think the key is getting enough water.
