Did you guys take cash with you into Mexico? Or use plastic? I have heart people talking about shopping at like Walmart and stuff...just curious...

You can do either but remember if you use plastic in Mexico you will have an added charge where they convert your dollars to.pesos. Your bank will charge you gor this " convenience"

I paid mine little by little for 7 months once figured out what Dr I wanted. When I got there I had a zero balance.

Every credit card is different, but mine does not have a foreign transaction fee. I would not feel comfortable taking a lot of cash to Mexico (or anywhere for that matter). My bank does charge a small fee to use my debit card, but it is minimal. You may just want to check before you go. Good Luck!
