Soup

I was sleeved on 4/23. I want tomato or cream of mushroom (blended) soup so bad. I will call my surgeons office on Monday to see if I can. Has anyone experienced this a few days out? I've been drinking chicken and beef broth without any trouble at all...

I had cream of mushroom about a week and a half after mine - loved it!

I was sent home from the hospital on full liquids which includes creamed soups. So, that was like from day 3. My favorite was cream of chicken soup thinned with a little 1% milk.

I had tomato soup on day 2 while still in the hospital. Protein shakes too. No more than 4-6 oz though.

I was allowed any low cal soup from Day 3 :)

Day 4, I was advanced to full liquids and V8/tomatoe soup is allowed

Definitely check - every doc/nut says something different...

I was advanced from clear to full liquids, including strained soups, on Day 3. Check with your doc tomorrow. Hang in there.
