  3. congrats on losing so much weight! have you had any issues with loose skin? Haven't really had too much loose skin, at least not as much as I though I would. My skin is a little looser on my belly than I would like it to be, but let's just say I would much rather take my shirt off in front of people now, than I would have before surgery.

  6. I'm 6'4" and started at 340. I'm now at 208 and think I'm about where I want to be.

  8. Pre-op: 331 Day of surgery:316 Today: 246 Down: 85 lbs! And I calculated my bmi today and I am no longer considered to be obese at 6 foot 4 inches! (Just overweight now)
  9. My Dr actually told me to start getting off the protein shakes and to get my protein from food now. I was sleeved 4/24.
  10. I'm at 6 weeks out and I just had a crunchy taco supreme. It went down great!

  14. Also we are all starting at different weights, have different body types, and males tend to lose weight faster. I think that we sometimes put too much pressure on ourselves by comparing. I know I couldn't have lost what I have so far with out the sleeve and for that I am grateful.
  15. I have no problems with water or even protein shakes, but now that I am on soft foods I sure notice the restriction. The sleeve is working! I'm about 3 1/2 weeks out. I was worried when I read about some people having problems with liquids, but so far I haven't had any issues.
  16. Sleeved on 4/24. Down 29 lbs since the day of surgery and down 44 including the 2 week pre-op diet. Started at 331 but I am 6 ft 4 in so that might explain why I've lost so much. Off my metformin and blood pressure pill. Couldn't be happier! Best thing I could have done.
  17. I had tomato soup on day 2 while still in the hospital. Protein shakes too. No more than 4-6 oz though.
  18. I was sleeved on Wednesday and my Dr already had me on protein shakes Thursday while still in the hospital. Got to come home today and I'm so glad to be home.
  19. April 24 is the big day for me! Excited but a little nervous too. I just sent a PM with my e-mail address to be added to the facebook group.
  20. I'm on day 2 of my pre-op diet. I am hungry but it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. Can't wait for the 24th. Just need to keep focused on why I am going through all of this.
