Vitamins

I take a few Vitamins and supplements and some of the pills are quite larger. Will I still be able to take these after surgery?

Hi! You won't be able to take them in a pill form. You will need to get chewable or dissolvable. I don't think you want to crush your vitamins. They will taste really bad... Yuck! I'm 5 days out

  • All my meds changed. I was sent home with a pill crusher and I was taught how to use it in the hospital

I resumed my vitamins at 3 weeks post op as instructed. I never crushed them, I have two that are pretty big but I have been able to tolerate them pretty well. The only thing I couldn't tolerate anymore was my omega 3s because I couldn't take them with enough food to keep the aftertaste down.

They sell a few multi vitamins in a mini form. I take the womens one a day mini multi vitamin. It was recommended by my NUT
