Does anyone regret this surgery?
I'm 8 months out and down 70 pounds. I went from a size 20 to a size 8. I thought I was going to die the first two days. Since then I have thanked God everyday for giving me this gift. It was a magic bullet. I would do it again and again! No regrets. Just keep the faith and don't give up. It will get easier and easier. The point of the surgery was to take away your craving for food and to reduce the amount of your food intake. I drank lots of decaf ice tea with Splenda and GNC brand of protein shakes. And, water popsicles. I eat anything I want now. Just small portions. And, I'm still losing. You will be fine. Imagine walking into The Gap and pulling on a pair of button fly cords in a size 8 with room to spare. It's all worth it. I promise!

Why do I have to wait so long?
I now have a lot of skin on my upper arms. And if I didn't have the inner tube around my hips, I could be in a size 8 by now. Why do I have to wait if I have the money to get it done now??

Omg i want to die
When they take your tube out the pain will be better. Day 2 I thought I was going to die too. No kidding. But now I'm down 55 pounds and am wearing a size 12. I have 15 pounds to meat my goal and I know I will get there. Hang on!!

Will the "biggest losers" pls tell your story?
Sleeve! It's much less complicated for your system. The second day I thought I was going to die. But, 4.5 months and 50 pounds later I know it's the best decision I have ever made!

Eight weeks out and notice change in appetite
OMG, I was trying to figure out how to say this. 8 weeks out and all of the sudden the thought of food makes me gag. I'm nauseous!! I went to the ER and was dehydrated and my pancreas levels were elevated. 2 bags of Fluid and I'm still really sick! I have great from Day 1 until now...

How to handle dehydration
I simply can't get enough fluids in. And not that it's summer, I'm outside all the time. Drains me even more. My surgeon sent me to the ER for fluids but I was there 2 hours and there were still 15 people ahead of me. I left... How can I get caught up enough on my own. Or, should I go back to the ER? Help please...

Any APRIL SLEEVERS? Let me know your progress !
I was sleeved on the 22nd of April and have lost 21 pounds. I'm having trouble with my large incision. It continues to break open spilling blood and infection. So I can't walk on my treadmill yet. My surgeon had to reopen it and clean it out today. No shower for 3 days and no walking for 3 weeks. Hell with no meds!

Lactose intolerant?
Oh, I was sleeved on April, 22nd.
-
Lactose intolerant?
I was slightly lactose intolerant prior, but now it is bad. I don't throw up but it makes me have the runs something awful. Yogurt and pudding were to be my strength. Now, I suffer if I eat them. Do you think we could take Lactaid? I bought Lactaid milk, but it sounds gross. I'll talk to my surgeon next Thursday and post results. Good luck!

I'M BACK & SLEEVED

Surgery yesterday @ 4:45 pm
The 2nd day you think you are going to die. You are asking yourself silently if you have made a mistake. You can't say it out loud because you made this decision on your own. Elective... BUT, tomorrow, you will feel better. I promise! And the next day and so on. And when that first 10 pounds is gone, you will think "maybe I did make the right decision". Then, 20 pounds! You did the right thing! Use your pump and remember, this is your future! Congratulations!

Returning to work
I worked 6 hours on Friday (4 days out) and 6 hours today (6 days out). I will go back full time tomorrow. I have no choice though. I'm a contractor and if I don't work, I don't get paid... Enjoy your time off and heal if you can.

Self-advancement of diet?
Hey guys, heck yes, I want to cheat. But, I won't. I did only a week of 2 shakes and dinner. Maybe that wasn't enough. I don't think I could eat anything I shouldn't either. I'm just not ready. You guys rock! Xoxo
