When can we start working out using our stomach muscles.

my doc said light workouts are ok at one month, but 6 weeks I am cleared to weight train / lift heavy stuff.

Pretty much same here.

I wasn't cleared for any exercise other than walking till my 6 week checkup. And then Dr. said to go easy on the stomach till 3 months. My trainer told me the best exercise you can do to whittle your waist is to think about sucking your stomach in. She said that is better than sit ups or other exercises to flatten your tummy.

I’m sticking to the elliptical and rowing machine for now and trying to keep my stomach tight. I'm only a month and 3 days post op, though. I have a visit with the nutritionist tomorrow and I'll ask her
