Flabby hams for upper arms

Recommended Posts

My upper arms are disgusting. I lost 60 lbs at 6 months post op but my arms are something else. My PA said surgery is painful and disfiguring with a huge scar. Do they ever get any better? I do light weights and Water exercises to tone the muscle to no avail. Any suggestions?

I am your age and my arms are terrible. I am down 63 lbs but have 45 more to go. I will have surgery on. My arms and boobs as long as I am in good enough health. Look for a good plastic surgeon. The scar is under your arm and would only show if you put your arms up. The rest of my body will be held in with spanks.

The whole skin topic freaks me out. Out of everything this surgery will entail, it's the flabby skin that scares me. LOL! Since insurance does not cover plastics (That I know of), the only way I could afford plastic surgery would be if I won the lottery. (Sigh)

my insurance covere it but you have to be pretty bad to where its cause health issues, rashes ect this is by asking a few who have my insurance so I'm not 100% but I'm super scared as well. I'd never be able to save up for it and if I tried it could take years...sucks

If you talk to a good plastic surgeon you will find that the scar is small and they use your normal skin folds to introduce the scars, like where your arms meets your armpit or the back near the shoulder.

Don't let idiots scare you. Do your own research.

My upper arms and delts are very toned due to exercise and genetics. Plastic surgeon complimented me on them today even that I am remarkably well defined BUT I still have extra skin and looseness underneath.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
