Hi all. New here. Just found out last week that my surgery is THIS Tuesday. Woke up nervous and anxious this morning.

Sweet! All the best to you. Keep us posted on your journey.

I'm in Nashville to ladies' date=' my day is July 2; we need to keep up with each other.[/quote']

Are you having your surgery done at Centennial in Nashville by chance?

Ok' date=' somebody please tell me that I am not the only one experiencing this craving for all of my favorite foods, and savoring each morsel like it is the last time I will ever eat it again! Example: in a span of 2 weeks I have purchased or cooked, cakes, burgers, pizza, hot links, tamales, tea cakes, fried foods from every area, and alchololic beverages that I know that I don't really need or want! My husband and children have been in hog heaven, but I think I am having a food meltdown! my Surgery is on the 29th and I have not even begun to do the liquid diet. I hate to admit this, but I ate a whole thin crust pepperoni/pineapple medium pizza the other day with the kids,(I paid for it that night while trying to sleep), but I ate it with an emotion like if I was about to say goodbye to a dying relative! That can't be a good sign![/quote']

I did the exact same thing in the weeks leading up to my pre-op start date. I actually consumed an entire pizza the day before. They say it was my "food funeral" so I was eating everything I feared I might not ever eat again. It was silly for me to think that way since my husband went through this a year ago and he can eat most anything, less bread, in small amounts of course! But I think this is something most of us go through! Hang in there!!

Are you kidding me- I have done this for the last two MONTHS! I am so ready to be free from food! I love it all - the good and the bad! I love pizza and salad, salmon and mac-n-cheese...I cold go on and on!!!!

@vixynne good luck tomorrow and keep us posted.

Good luck!!!! You must be in surgery now. Am sending up a prayer and praying ou won't even feel the pain but only joy in your new life!!!!

July 10th surgery right here! I was put on a 2 weeks pre op diet. 1 week of high proteins, lean meats, veggies, cottage cheese, protein shakes and jello, and then a 2nd week of strictly liquids. Shooting for 60 grams of protein a day and trying to "shrink my liver". I had fatty liver before this so I can understand that. I have had a real hard time with the diet. But I lost 4 lbs between Wednesday and Sunday so I must be doing something right!!! I've cheated a few times but my portions are TINY and I'm avoiding carbs and sugars (which I read enlarge your liver more than other foods). My birthday is the 3rd so I might cheat then too but I am confident I can lose a few more lbs before my day!!!!

I started drinking protein shakes for breakfast today... I'm going to have another one as a PM snack and possibly dinner.

I'm also trying to cut down to one cup of coffee this week :(

other than that... I have a long list of "to do's" before next Tuesday! i can't believe I'll be sleeved in EIGHT days!

Good luck all the July 1st sleevers!
