Surgery tomorrow

Well the time is almost here, after a 7 month journey my time to be sleeved is just around the corner. In less than 24 hours my life will change forever. I have been on a clear liquid diet that started Saturday, it's been tough but not as tough as I had imagined it would be. Any advice is appreciated.

I feel great. I'm eight days out of surgery. I wanna try food but wont yet. I bit pizza and chewed it till it dissolved. It was fine.

I'm only 3 days out so from what I read I should feel better In a few days. The thought of eating anything makes me queasy

I just hope it keeps up. I've been walking three miles a day. Mentally its really changed everything.

Congrats on ur upcoming surgery. I'm 8days post op I got my staples removed today. The 1st day or 2 may be a lil rough as u learn ur new stomach. Time ur pain meds so u r covered at all times, walk walk walk, and enjoy the new steps ur body is abt to begin. I learned that I had 2 kinds of pain. Gas from drinking 2 fast and slight gas if u don't drink ur fluids like u should. You will do great.

I'm feeling a little better today. Was just able to drink a little bit of a premier Protein shake mixed with PB2 powder and I seem to be tolerating it. So I guess you could say today is much better than Tuesday. I think in a few more days ill feel much better than today. Good luck on your upcoming surgery. I am sure all will be done for you. Don't be scared.

Erica I believe you and I have the same sleeve anniversary! I was sleeved on the 15th also and I'm still feeling the pain and discomfort. I learned jello and water fill me up quick I have t been to focused on the protein yet as I will be when I have my post op appointment on Tuesday.

Hi Angel, it does appear we got sleeved on Monday ;-) my tummy is a little better but I just took a trip to the store for some Popsicles and had to take a pain pill once I got home. I'm barely getting 20 ounces of liquid a day. It's just so hard to hit 48 when you feel so full all the time.

Erica I have the same exact problem. I sometimes have to force myself because I wi completely forget to eat. There are times ill feel hungry but other times I could care less to eat. I'm sure once we start our Protein we will feel better :-)

I'm not sure who your surgeon or nutritionalist is but I called mine today and was told I could use PB2 or regular Peanut Butter in the Protein Drink to make it taste better she also said I could use some fruit in it. I'm afraid to eat any Soup yet but I am allowed if I want. I think I may try something tonight. What state are you in? I'm I'm Northern California.

I'm in Sourhern New Jersey. I haven't been cleared for Protein drinks yet so I'm getting none in this week until I'm cleared on Tuesday. I've been doing chicken broth and it's been amazing it actually helps me feel full for a while

I haven't had any chicken broth yet, I have several different brands to try so I really need to push myself to eat it.

Definitely start the chicken broth. It makes your stomach warm and eases the pain in the muscles and actually makes you feel way more stuffed than Water and Jello. I can't wait for Protein shakes next week
