Too Much Easter Dinner!

Recommended Posts

Ate too much today but still probably less than half of what I would've eaten last year! The sweets are what got me. :(

I'll do better tomorrow! Hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Easter!!! :D

Me too. I totally understand what "slider" foods are now.....they include coconut cream pie and soft little lemon ricotta Cookies, lol! Even still, I ate less yesterday than I probably ate most days on a good day before surgery, so I'm not feeling too bad about it. Back on track today, and for me, it's all about living a rich life where I'm allowed to digress once in a while without feeling too much stress from it :) Hope everyone had a wonderful day!

I ate so much I accidently told someone Happy Thanksgiving. . .lol!!! I think the worse part of having this surgery is holidays. I am ok just eating a little, but I feel like I insult people when I don't pile food on my plate. They will say, "That is all you are going to eat" with this hurt look in their eyes. I have learned to say "Yes, this is all I am going to eat", but it is still hard.

I ate one reeses Peanut Butter mini...and only one! That is truly a first for me. Lol. It did taste pretty amazing though! Funny enough I had a harder time not eating too much of the roast made last night!

My daughter's carrot cake got me, in more than one way. I was up 3 lbs (this is why I weigh EVERY day) and I woke up at 2 AM Monday morning with a screaming Migraine. Too many sweets!!! I'm already on the road to 'recovery'- down 1.5 this morning. Got in 95 grams of Protein yesterday, so I know that helped. Back on track, which is what is so good about this tool. It sure makes it easier to get back where we need to be. Good luck to y'all!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
