I started my period early after my surgery too... As a matter of fact it seems quite common because I've seen lots of women discussing it here.. And the brownish color I read around here too. So hopefully that helps .

Mine started early to, in fact a few hrs after surgery! For some reason they ate a little different after surgery. Not sure why its brownish color, but for me its Brown right when I start and at the end. Lots of women are experiencing the same thing, so I'm thinking it might just be the trama your body is going through. I have had four periods so far and I'm fine

Oops- are not ate! Damn spell check..

Sme thing happen to me got mine yesterday exactly a week early and six days post op... Any ideas why? Ive never been early!

I had my surgery on 3/19 and started my stupid period on 3/20, about 10 days early. It looks like it's pretty common just by the responses here.

I also got my period early. I weighed myself one day and was up 3 lbs. I couldn't understand why. Then later that morning it came. Can't seem to get the scale to budge. Very depressing since its so close to surgery. How is everyone else doing with weight loss while they have their period?

I was sleeved march 6 2013 and i have pcos and after my surgery 1 day post op I got my period and I panicked because I haven't gotten my period since October 2012 due to my pcos so it could be a hormonal thing

Yep. One week early. & my friend did too (she's not in VST).

Again grateful for the post I had just stopped my period 3 days b4 surgery and started bleeding yesterday 4 days after and today it's like a full period. So does this mean I am starting a new cycle?
