Pre-op testing?

I'm scheduled for Monday the 25th. What I'm wondering is I didn't do any preop testing besides a blood test. I just felt like there should have been more? I'm I wrong? I'm in decent health besides being overweight. Am I just over thinking the whole process??

I had blood work. Oh and an ekg that my pcp had to do to give to my surgeon. He said the anethesiologist uses it

I've only had an EKG (because I've never had one) and the bloodwork. Good luck with your surgery!! :-)

I was cleared for surgery by my primary doc, which was insurance required. My "Pre-op" testing was just bloodwork also, I had an EKG within a few months and they used those results. Prior to getting my surgical clearance I had an endoscopy.

Good luck on the 25th!!

In the drs office waiting for mine now....I'm curious to...we'll see!!!

I had blood work, urine specimen, chest x-ray, and of course a few months prior an EKG and endoscopy.

Good Luck!

I'm using a center of excellance and I had to do blood work, a physical, EKG, nutritional and psych evaluations.

Anyone over 40 or smokes is usually required to have an EKG before anesthesia will put you under.

I had an upper GI, EKG, chest xray and blood work done. Surgery is set for March 28
