  1. I was sleeved on April 10, 2013 and I have lost 62lbs. I can eat anything except ground beef which doesn't bother me much because I'm not much of a beef eater.
  2. I purchase my swim pants and shirt off of Amazon. Here are links to the items I purchased. http://www.amazon.com/Plus-Size-Rash-Guard-Shirt/dp/B00BAC64TS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1372037556&sr=8-3&keywords=plus+size+swim+shirt http://www.amazon.com/Plus-Size-Swim-Pants-Swimming/dp/B00BACKWXW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372037584&sr=8-1&keywords=plus+size+swim+pants
  3. You've lost 45lbs so be proud of that. As for your doctor, he sounds like someone who really inspires his patients...not. Maybe some of the veterans will chime in because I'm just about two months out and I still don't really know what I'm doing. Be kind to yourself and let things progress naturally. Good luck to you!
  4. I do deep water aerobics. It's very easy on the joints. I started out at 375+ but now I'm down to 336. I bought a plus size swim shirt and swim pants on Amazon and they cost about $148 minus shipping and handling. I'm just not ready to get into a swimsuit. I hope this helps. Good luck!
  5. Congratulations on your journey!
  6. Good luck on your journey!
  7. My doctor suggested that might be my problem at my one month follow-up appointment. The pain was really intense like a burning, tearing , and pulling sensation. One day last week I was bending over to pick up something and I felt a pop sensation then the pain was gone. I guess the stitch popped. I have been pain free ever since.
  8. Congratulations on your surgery and weight loss. I had an internal stitch that was causing me pain up until last week and I had my surgery on April 10th. If you feel something isn't right I would contact my doctor to see what is causing the pain. Good luck to you!
  9. Be gentle and kind to yourself. You are doing great!
  10. You look marvelous and I bet you feel even better. Congratulations!
  11. Good luck on your journey!
  12. I was sleeved on 4/10/13 and I have lost 52lbs as of my last weigh-in on 4/6.
  13. I weighed 385 on my surgery day. I don't know what the future holds but I have lost 52 lbs since surgery. Look in the 200+ pounders forum for more inspiration.
  14. Just lovely, keep up the good work.
  15. I have the stabbing, burning, and tearing sensations on my left side too. My surgeon told me that my pain was from an internal stitch in the muscle. She told me to take my pain meds and Tylenol but neither helped with the pain. The pain is becoming less intense which is a good sign but it's still there. Only time will take care of this.
  16. You look wonderful, congratulations!
  17. My doctor required my sleep apnea to be treated with CPAP therapy before she would even consider me for surgery. Luckily, I was compliant with using my CPAP and surgery wasn't held up. I know it's important to have your sleep apnea treated before undergoing anesthesia or serious complications could arise. It took me awhile to get used to using a CPAP but it's worth it because I wouldn't get a restful nights sleep without it. Talk to your doctor maybe there are some different CPAP supplies that you might tolerate better.
  18. That's different. I wouldn't try that again. I hope you feel better.
