I finally got a surgery date!!!!!! April 8 th!!!! I'm so excited I could burst! I would like to keep up with other April sleevers, pre-op diets, protien shakes, progress, stats, any concerns, etc. Lets hear it for new beginnings!

Hello from Dubai! My surgery is tentatively scheduled for the the third week of April. I'm excited and terrified but I am so looking forward to meeting the new me! I have a question - might sound stupid but couldn't help myself but ask. Have you guys read any stories, articles, etc about people who got sleeved more than 5 years ago and how they are now? Any suggested readings would be greatly appreciated! Good luck to all <3

Hello April Sleevers! I've been watching your posts but didn't know my date for sure until this afternoon! I have been going thru this process for almost a year. Denied 2 times on my insurance and tried to appeal but they wouldn't budge...... So, I'm self pay. I am scheduled for 4/10! I am so excited and scared too now that I actually have the date! I know this a normal reaction based on what others post on the site but somehow it doesn't sink in until you are actually going through it! Yay us!

Congratulations Houston! I too went through denials for over a year but I wouldn't give up..finally got the approval and I'm scheduled for April 2nd..It's getting so close now, I can't wait for it to be over..good luck to you..

I found out this morning that my surgery date was moved up 2 days, so now April 23rd. A month from Saturday!!! I am so scared!!!! I need this badly and know this is the right thing for me but man alive I'm a month out and am so nervous!!! Looking forward though, to dropping those pounds before summer!!! I hit the gym this morning, and started my strength training to prepare my body for the mass exodus of these extra pounds!!!

Hello, I waited two years for my surgery. I'm scheduled for April 10th. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I can't wait until it's finally over and I can claim my spot on the loser's bench. Good luck to all the April Sleevers!

I got my surgery date today April 15! I bought all the stuff they wanted me to buy. Protein powders, vitamins, protein shots etc. It came to $328!! OMG I hope this will last me for awhile. I don't like paying so much but I will do whatever they want to have the surgery. I am so excited. I can't believe I am really doing this after thinking about this for so long.
