Im 5 weeks out and I had my second follow up today and I've been cleared to resume normal activities and to be able to branch off and try different foods in moderation that is. I've only lost 1 pound in the last 2 weeks but I've dropped inches - even my surgeon noticed that :)! I'm so excited and glad that I have the surgery. xoxoxo sleeve family

My highest weight was 426 in January 2012 when I started considering the surgery - in January 22, 2013 I was 399, day of surgery 1/28/13 I was 387 and today I'm 369. So in all I've lost almost 60 but my clothes are fitting differently my moms says I'm losing inches faster than pounds which is fine with me because I know the pounds will come off.

Everything will be fine! Just remember a few things

1) results may vary: not everyone loses at the same pace but we all lose

2) listen to your body: I've only dumped once since surgery and I knew when I was eating that I was eating too much too fast but I was just to excited to be eating real food

3) get grounded with good support: you need people in your corner because I probably could've gone thru this by myself but who would want to. We may not be blood related but we are related thru experience

4) trust and believe in yourself: you can do anything you put your mind to but you just have to believe it

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
