Has anyone been to the obesity control center for their sleeve ? How was your experience ? I plan to get sleeved on April 7th. Any info would be great

Hi Beth - I was sleeved by Dr. Ortiz at Obesity Control Center 2/4/13. I was very pleased with the level of care, the nurses, follow up suport, and am losing weight! Initially, I was pretty nervous about traveling for the surgery but it was really great. The doctors spoke great english, nurses spoke well enough to communicate, and I specifically liked the Nutrionist, Dr. Miranda.

I also had my surgery done at OCC with Dr. Ortiz... My surgery date was April 16th 2012 and I have lost 129 lbs!! I had a very easy recovery and I feel amazing!!! Congrats on scheduling with Dr. Ortiz.. He is simply the best!!

I was sleeved at OCC Dr. Ortiz on 3/12/12 and I had a wonderful experience. I still even keep in contact with two gals that I met while there. Both are from Canada. I really liked Dr. So I had some complications with medication and had to get a shot in the butt the next day after surgery and something in my IV as I started to get hives and my lips were HUGE.
