My surgery was monday!

Yay! I had my surgery on monday February 18th, my starting over point!!! My starting weight was 254lbs on Sept 20th, 2012.... Before starting the 2 week Pre op diet I weighed in at 223.... Surgery date of February 18, I weighed in at 212!!!!! Prob have put on a few since surgery due to all the fluids n such, I feel very tight and swollen in my hands and feet. I am laying in my hospital bed sipping on protein water, I do have cramps with each swallow I take. Have any questions just ask.... Will check my weight next week and publish then. Cant wait to start experimenting with food, I love The World According to Eggfaces' blog, I think many of you will too. She has a great variety of recipes, I don't like to get bored.. Let me know if you know of any other helpful blogs! <3 CCL

Hi Kat, I just had my surgery on monday also. Had a hard time sleeping last night in my own bed, going to try a chair today and tonight, pain meds are working only partly.

Yea I havnt slept well in the hospital, i go home today around 3pm, cant wait to get in my own bed, at least I hope.... I need some good sleep. How are you doing with protein water

Congrats on your sleeve. You might switch from Protein Water to something without the protein, just to see if the problem goes away.

When I first got home, I was eating sugar free Jell-O and sugar free popsicles and getting lots of cramps and bubbles in my stomach.

I didn't realize it, but my new stomach did not like the sucralose or the sugar alcohols. So your new stomach may not be ready for that kind of protein yet.

Congradulations!

My surgery was 1/4/2012. It has been such a process. I am so happy with where I am. I wish you the best!

I was sleeved on Tuesday and very happy about my journey.

I was also sleeved on feb 18th. I hope everyone is doing well. To me the pain has really eased up a good bit.
