2 days post op

I'm just now settling in to being back at home. I'm sleepy and tired all the time. How long did it take you to start getting your liquid protein & water in at the recommended levels? I'm sipping when I'm awake. Takes forever to get an ounce down right now. Tell me this will get better!

it gets much better. You will be double where u are in a week. Keep plugging away. You are going through the same thing everyone does. You are doing fine and on your way!

It does get easier, if you are having a hard time getting your liquids try drinking warm liquids because the warmth will reduce the swelling making it easier to get the fluids in. Good Luck.

I recomend crushed ice. That saved the day for me. Good Luck and take care.

You have to take this day by day... Every day you will be able to do a lil more. Get a whey protein powder that you can mix with skim milk or water and drink that once or twice a day. It will really REALLY help with your energy level. Usually they whey powders offer at least 20g of protein in a serving, so try to do two a day at first. Hope this helps some!
