2 years 3 months Post - OP....Unbelieveable

I never dreamed I would actually be sitting here saying it has been 2 years since my sleeve and I have never been happier....except for the excess skin...my only negative, but I will take it!! The swimsuit pic is my step-daughter and me 2 years after surgery... the other is my husband and I 2 months after my surgery. Lets hear and see some other great post-op stories!!

You look amazing! & I pray I have "saggy skin" like you! You can't tell at all!

  • I have found I hide it better with a tan....lol To be honest, my goal was 145. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would get there, let alone to where I am at. I don't think my dr. did either

Thanks for sharing. Is your hunger as strong as it was pre-op? I am so hoping your answer is no, lol.

Not at all...But by the time you get some appetite back, you should be on a road that "food" is not the most important thought of the day. At least that is where I am! Good luck to you and I hope all your dreams come true!

You do look fabulous! It's great to see someone doing so well 2 years after. My dream is to look as great as you! I have lost 50 lbs. I'm half way there. How tall are you??? I'm 5'81/2 and my goal is 145. We will see what happens, I'm thrilled to have the first 50 off!!! It's been 12 weeks.

I love to see these stories, your an inspiration!

I am 5'6...you WILL get there...but be prepared...I feel like I traded in one set of problems for another. Not that they are all bad, but when you have spent your life "not" being the one people look at to "being" the one people look at can make you just as or more uncomfortable.

CONGRATULATIONS!! I am soooo happy for you!! You look terrific and I know you have to feel SO GOOD. I am 52 lbs down with about 80 more to go, I want to weigh 160. My weight loss has slowed down, and this picture and your post give me hope that my sleeve will continue to work over the long haul!! Thanks so much for sharing this. You look beautiful.

Wow! you went from being a gorgeous plus size woman to being a knock out! I'm 5'6" too and have heard many friends say "you have such a pretty face". they mean well, but I want to look beautiful and HEALTHY all over. So, could you please share your numbers, such as how much you lost the first month and how much you averaged after that etc. Thanks a million for sharing! (I'm 5 weeks out and down from 232 to 214 today).

also I just wanted to let you know how very much it means to those of us still in the beginning of our journey or those halfway and struggling, for someone like you to take the time to share and answer questions. you truly can make a difference in other people's lives. God Bless you!

You look great! Thanks for sharing!

I did it fairly slowly...started out 10 lbs per month the first 4 to 5 months, then 3 to 5lbs...until I reached 130 from 222 (again, the dr. expected me to only get around 160). Now I fluctuate between 127 - 131...my lowest being 125. Do NOT rush it! It will happen, but the slower the better for your body to keep up is my opinion. You also need the time to learn how to eat better and healthier. It took me a long time forcing myself to eat 5x per day small amounts. Even when you don't feel like eating, eat! When you don't feel like parking in the back of the lot at the grocery store or the mall (cold/raining/HOT)...do it; When you are shopping and don't know what the heck a certain vegetable is, buy it and try it! That is my new motto :)

Omigosh!! I pray my saggy skin turns out like yours, because I really don't see it. You look amazing.

Thanks :) But really, you wouldn't want me to turn around. My butt fell to my thighs...lol I say the back of my legs look like a rippled potato chip, but again, I will take it over my previous look!
