One of the reasons I needed this surgery was because I'm on a lot of psych meds that just made me fat no matter what I ate. I'm wondering if anyone has noticed this being a complication post op as well. Anybody?

I would like to know about this too. Same thing for me, gain no matter what.

I'm on Abilify and Effexor. When I first went on those meds, I gained a ton of weight.

Now that I am post sleeve (12/17/12), my wt loss is on the slower side, and I was wondering if it is from the meds too.

I was taking viibryd for anxiety and depression I tapered off of it though I have not noticed anything different yet.

I'm on one of the biggest culprits for meaningless weight gain, lithium. My psych doctor said that for some reason his patients who get wls don't have the weight gain effects after the surgery, but I don't understand why that would be possible.
