One last request before surgery!

So, Im 4 days out from surgery and I start my clear liquids Monday, Im currently on the high protein, no care diet. Here's the think, I have been craving pizza....bad!

I keep wondering should I or shouldn't I. Part of me says it's the last time i will be able to taste it in perhaps months. The other part of me is beating me up for even considering it. Thoughts....advice?

Keep beating yourself up. If you can't manage to stick to just two weeks the next several months are going to be too hard for you.

I just went to see a friend who didn't follow the advised diet plan. He has 4 stints and a feeding tube. He has to have a RNY and all its nightmare complications. Nyou went through all the hoops and underwent a major surgery. Is a slice of pizza worth it?

No don't do it. It has been tough for me too. But just think of all the weight you losing now. A slice of pizza isn't worth it. You will be able to eat pizza possibly in a few months so hang in there. We can do this.

If you do decide to eat some pizza, I would recommend you do not eat the crust, eat only the topping. At least that way you will be eating mostly protein (meat and cheese).

It won't be that long and you will be able to eat pizza again after your surgery. I had my surgery back in September and have been eating pizza for a while now. Mostly I eat just the topping, but I do take a bite of the crust ever so often.
