Solid Foods

When did everyone taste their first solid food? I'm 7 days out and just started feeling hungry again. I want to nibble on something!

Almost three months. Salmon at maybe ten weeks...

I am almost three weeks and I can have regular texture protein, but no beef. I have no problems tolerating it.

The first two weeks I had liquids....then puréed foods for the next two...then the next two weeks soft foods.....so it took me some time to get there.....what does your Dr. Say? Every surgeon is different.

Pretty much the same diet that you stated. Im just hungry and/or missing food. Haven't felt the "hungry urge" since before surgery.

Hang in there! It will go by before you know it, then you will be able to eat again!

But in the meantime fresh broth made homemade or even go to a take out place and buy a soup you like and "eat" just the broth :)

Thanks, girl! I got this... I think lol

1 week post-op I tried ham and turkey in the form of deli meats as well as string cheese and it went down fine.
