I've never seen them but check the label and make sure it is whey protein.

I haven't found one that uses whey Protein yet... all the ones I have seen use collagen.

O.T.R. Sleever is a good person to ask about this if you see him around.

Is it okay to do the Protein Shots instead of the shakes?

Here is a link to one of the many discussions on these protein shots.

Good luck!

Have you tried them? They are the most disgusting things you'll ever try! So foul!

My surgeon is really against them. What you to get your protien from food. Dr. Garth Davis in Houston. Beans fruits and veggies and some meat. They do taste horrible!

I just tried one,it was okay,a kind of bitter sweet taste, but I can tolerate it. I'm three wks post op and just can't get in all my protein,so I guess I'll have to settle for this,at least I will get a large amount of protein in one shot.

Go read the previous post about protein shots. They are no good for you they are a waste Otr sleeved posted to my post why. Read it please. I wasted time on them and my hair is paying for it. I was not informed well.

I am also taking protein shots(started yesterday). I know people are against it because its not completely whey isolate protein but there are some of us out there who just cannot consume the amount of protein that our respective surgeons have told us to. I'm 17 days post op, can barely get in half a bottle of isopure and can barely drink 12 oz of water..there has to be an alternative to ready made protein drinks and shakes. These protein shots seem like a better alternative because there's less to consume.

My nut said its fine to use them to add more protein to my diet. I struggle to eat meats in an amount that gives me my protein for the day so I drink a half of a shot a day to add to my diet. I also drink a shake first thing in the am that it 30 grams. Just remember your body can only absorb 30 g at a time.
