    important question

I fully threw up for 24 hours after the surgery. Of course it was just bile/acid as I'd had nothing to eat for 48 hours. You'll be fine. Just take your time and walk, walk, walk.

    Making vomit

I have no idea if vomiting can cause leaks if that what you meant. I would say that at 4 months out you should be ok but that should not be the only reason you try to avoid vomiting. Vomiting means you are doing something wrong and you can't continue to live like that.
  3. It doesn't matter if they are made from the right kind of protein anyway. Your body can only process about 20g of protein at a time so buying something (which are the nastiest things on the planet by the way) with 42g of protein just makes no sense. You are just wasting half of it.

    Alkaline water!

Where do you find this water?

    Pills?

If you find you start to have an issue with them getting stuck try taking them with milk. It makes mine go down a little easier.

    Making vomit

Sounds like you are eating too much or too quickly. Try measuring your food and do not put more than half a cup on your plate. That should be mostly protein and some veggies. When eating use the 20,20,20 rule. Chew 20 times, wait 20 seconds between bites and anything that is left after 20 mins push away. Oh and no drinking while eating, ever. Always wait at least half an hour after eating before drinking anything. I hope this helps. Vomiting is like a near death experience to me so I try to avoid it at all costs!
  7. I was going to say they should go to their doctor and ask for some sort of anti inflammatory medicine, be it steroids or an NSAID. It sounds like there is still swelling and that may be what is causing the nausea when drinking. To all suffering through this I hope it gets better for you all soon. It is difficult for this of us who had no problems to believe that these things happen to people but they do and I feel so sorry for you all!

    Sleeve holds too much food

It took me three times of scrambling two eggs to realize that I could only eat one! Now my 10 year old says to me at every Breakfast "mum, you can only eat one egg"!

    Pills?

I've been swallowing my pills since day 1 post op. Some of the larger ones you may want to cut in half or quarters (check with your doctor first because some meds should not be cut) first because if they get stuck you are in for a world of pain for an hour or two (I know this from experience!).

    Is This Normal?

Yep, I'm 11 weeks out and that's about all I can get in. One poached egg and half a slice if wheat toast is as much as I get down in one sitting. It's great!!!

    Not sleeping well

Yep Fiddleman you can find melatonin at both of those stores. It'll be where the Vitamins are. Even though you are guys don't forget this surgery messes with your hormones too. I had vivid dreams when I was pregnant and again post surgery. I'm 11 weeks out and they have stopped but now I don't sleep as much as I used to. Now I'm happy to be up at 7am instead of sleeping in until 10 or 11!
  12. Oh God! Can we just stop posting on this thread!!?! She mentioned the doctor Dr Nain who is different to the doc in her profile. This has been over and over and over. Lets just stop posting here and let this thread die!
  13. WOW!!! You look great! Keep up the good work!
  14. Are you taking a PPI like prilosec? Other than that i have no suggestions other than to call your doctor. It could be anything. You may have a stomach bug, you may have a leak, I'm not a doctor so I can't tell you.
  15. I vomited for hours and hours after surgery. Your stomach and esophagus are still really swollen so I would not be too alarmed. I would call your surgeon and check with them. Do your best to keep as much water down as you can and just do what you can. Keep an eye on your hydration levels and call your doctor ASAP.
  16. I would post this as a separate thread and question. Many people who are experienced in this have given up on this thread. I've heard that it's flu like symptoms but not necessarily for everybody.

    Summer Cruise Anyone?

Carnival, in my opinion, is the best cruise line. I've been in 8 cruises with Disney, Norwegian and Carnival and the latter was the best by far! Even over Disney, which is a total ripoff in my opinion.
  18. OMG, DivaSleevers of VST!!! Hilarious! Hahahahahahahaha

    Summer Cruise Anyone?

Could you imagine all of us on a cruise? They wouldn't know what do with a boat full of people that can't eat!! There would be so much leftover they would be so confused!
  20. This is the thread that never ends, It just goes on and on my friend, Somebody started writing it not knowing what it was, And they'll continue writing on it just because This is the thread that never ends!
  21. Well I thought I was slow. 36lbs in 10 weeks but 10 of those pounds were in week 1&2!!! Hey, a pound a week is 52 pounds in a year! I'll be we'll at goal before a year's out if I stay at this slow rate (which I hope doesn't happen!) I'm happy as long as the scale goes down and not up anymore!!! I don't get nearly enough water. I hate water. Even with mio it's still hard to get down. I'm working on it though!
  22. I thought I was the only one that did this! Not going to my kid's school things because I was 'the fat mom'. Feeling self conscious everywhere I go. Getting bruises on my hips because they stick out further than everything else and have no choice but to bump into things.
