  1. It sounds like your stomach may be still swollen from the surgery and that is what is causing the vomiting. If you are able to get water down then there is a product by Kellogg's called K2o. It's a powder that you put in your water and has 5g of protein in it. I know that's not much but it's something. There are also these drinks called Kellogg's breakfast to go and they are very very liquidy and taste great. They also have 10g of protein. Are you taking any vitamins? B12 is especially important to help with energy. You can get drops or pills that go under your tongue that you absorb quicker than a pill. I am so sorry that you have had all these issues. I can't give you any "it'll get better" advice as I am only a week out but I truly hope you are on the mend soon :-) Keep us updated.
  2. Ok, I'm 6 days post surgery and just started the puréed foods stage. I keep measuring out 3oz of my puréed soups and looking at it going 'there is no way that's enough!' Then I sit down to start eating it and after 2oz I'm satisfied and can't eat anymore! My head is playing games with me!!!!!
  3. I just blended turkey chili and ate it at 7 days out. Just started the puréed foods stage. It was yummy.
  4. Ummm protein ice cream? Do share.
  5. Aha! Seems I may be trying to get too much into a day what with food vs liquids. I guess at the moment it's really all liquids and I should stop Worrying about the 'meal' part of it. I keep thinking I should be sitting down for a meal but after Protein Shakes and water all day the last thing I want to do is 'eat' something like blended chicken noodle soup. I guess I'll just slooooooow down and enjoy the ride. I'm down 10 pounds so far so I'll just take that as a sign I'm doing something right!
  6. Costco has the best tasting gummy vitamins. You can get them at Walmart too but you get more for less at Costco. It's Multivites. They are so good! I have always had a hard time taking vitamins because they taste foul and are huge, but these are good.
  7. So, we are supposed to get 60 grams of protein a day right? If I'm only eating 2oz at a time and only one shake a day how am I supposed to get it all in? Here's what I mean. I had creamy chicken noodle soup which had 4g of protein per serving made with milk with 11g of protein. So that is 15g except I only ate 1/4 of a serving making it 4g of protein. I am right? I was sleeved 11/7 and don't know how in supposed to get it all In. I cannot stand that Isopure crap! It's hideous!
  8. Don't be nervous. It's one of the easiest things you'll ever do :-) Yep, you'll be sore but it will all be worth it! I am day 3 post surgery and am feeling pretty good. You'll be fine.
  9. Menissa, is that you? I'm sure it is and I know you are doing fine! Stay in touch with me and let me know how you are doing. Suzy the Brit from Philly!
