Am I Doing This Right?

So, we are supposed to get 60 grams of protein a day right? If I'm only eating 2oz at a time and only one shake a day how am I supposed to get it all in? Here's what I mean. I had creamy chicken noodle soup which had 4g of protein per serving made with milk with 11g of protein. So that is 15g except I only ate 1/4 of a serving making it 4g of protein. I am right?

I was sleeved 11/7 and don't know how in supposed to get it all

In. I cannot stand that Isopure crap! It's hideous!

I'm 6'6" and my surgeon said 30-60g. I was killing myself trying to get it all in.

Designer whey makes something like crystal light packets and u mix it with water for about 20 grams of protein. It's not as heavy as protein drinks and it mixes like the crystal light stuff. Just ANOTHER option for getting it all in.

I was sleeved on the 9th and my dietician plan is to work my way up to 3 shakes/day by the end of the 1st week. The shakes are 24g protein/ 8oz. shake. I am also supposed to eat 2 small snack a day such as fat free cream soup, cream of wheat, sf pudding, smooth yogurt...about 2oz per snack. I am supposed to drink at least 48 oz of fluid but that can include the shakes. I was given a protein exlixer to take the first 2 days but I could not even stand to smell it. I have been tolerating the shakes okay, but only drink 2 a day so far.

Wow, just do the best you can to get the most protein possible. Do not force yourself because you will feel miserable. I really didn't get much in the first couple of weeks. So those of you early out, sit back and enjoy the ride, listen to your body, don't force it. :)

I had my op one week tomorrow (can hardly believe I'm saying that!!!) my dietician recommended whey powder as when you mix with semi skimmed milk 200 mls provided you with 27grams of protein. This means I only have to have 2 of these a say to get in enough protein and the rest of the day I just sip at Water and juice.

Aha! Seems I may be trying to get too much into a day what with food vs liquids. I guess at the moment it's really all liquids and I should stop

Worrying about the 'meal' part of it. I keep thinking I should be sitting down for a meal but after Protein Shakes and water all day the last thing I want to do is 'eat' something like blended chicken noodle soup. I guess I'll just slooooooow down and enjoy the ride. I'm down 10 pounds so far so I'll just take that as a sign I'm doing something right!
