January 28, 201313 yr Are you making sure you chew your food into a paste before swallowing? Also are you maybe eating too fast? Just suggestions, hope it helps. Xxx
January 28, 201313 yr You are probably eating to fast , I was sleeved Nov 13 , 2012 , and this still happens to me anytime I eat to fast .
January 28, 201313 yr Are you measuring out your food to make sure you don't over eat? Right now it's still hard for your tiny tummy to let you know you are full and one bite to many can push you over the edge. Like others have said... Chew well, and eat slowly. And also measure out just enough for me at 7 weeks. I could only do 2 ounces at a time. Best wishes!!!
January 28, 201313 yr I was sleeved on 12/26/12 with hiatal hernia repair. I was on protonix and then after the surgery no one told me to restart it. I started to have some nausea and epigastric pain so I restarted it. Feeling much better. no nausea since restarting it and tolerating most foods with no problems.
January 28, 201313 yr I'm a couple days shy of 7 weeks also and I noticed I'm not tolerating things that I could tolerate at weeks 3-4 even. A couple times I did catch myself eating too fast but not every time. I'm still only able to eat 1/4 cup absolute maximum or I can't keep it down.

January 29, 201313 yr I'm new so I don't know much about anything, but I was vomiting so much 2 weeks after surgery that my doc sent me to have an endoscopy procedure. Apparently I was having something called "stricture" or scarring which required doc to insert a balloon into my esophagus in order to inflate the opening a bit to allow food to go in.
February 1, 201313 yr I am about 10 weeks post op , and I can hold down pretty much anything , I am even guilty of eating things that I was told by my doctor that I would not be able to tolorate such as Chocolate ( Not that I make it a habit ). you should talk to your doctor.
