Purees

Help! Is there any real food that tastes good puréed? I am having a tough time gettin my protein in and my surgeon is concerned that the protein shakes are irritating my stomach. I talked to my NUT yesterday and she suggested pureeing soup, I did it and I wanted to be sick. I made that ricotta bake that was on here and it was just too much cheese. I am two weeks out and am desperately regretting this decision.

Chicken salad? Tuna salad?

Do you have to put raw veggies in it. Mayo salt and pepper??

I literally just made a blog post about some tips for this stage 30 seconds ago with a video. Try mashed up tuna or salmon with a bit of reduced fat mayo, and for a rare treat, try an Underwood meat spread. Really good!

Sounds delicious. I make southwestern turkey burgers that I'm hoping I will be able to tolerate once I can eat more. Mix turkey breast with turkey Italian sausage. Add diced green chilis, cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper ummm maybe garlic powder and onion powder. I thought I could make them into meatballs instead of patties so they would be pre measured and I could grab and go for work

I appreciate the suggestions, but am having a very hard time with puréed meats.

You might not like the Underwood spreads then. I find them a great switch from the baby food meats.

My family had chili tonight. I pureed some of it. It was good, and nice to have the same thing they were.
