8 pounds is awesome!

8 lbs in a week is fabulous!!! I didnt loose that much the first week .... keep up the good work !! and remember it wont always be lots of weight loss every week .... fabulous just fabulous :D

I was sleeved on the 9th and lost the same amount in my first when I went to full fluids it didnt seem like the weight was coming off, it was staying the same. So I feeling a little frustrated but I weighed myself yesterday and its starting to go down again! 8lbs towards your goal keep it up! Thats great!

Considering most of us retain some Water weight right after surgery (because of the IV), I think 8 lbs in 1 week post-op is awesome!

I had read about this (and the infamous '3rd week stall') here and in other forums, so I expected the first month's loss to be very less. So I made a concious effort to stay away from the scale till the first month mark.

That's great!
