Nyquil gel caps

Does anyone know if it is ok to take these post VSG? I will be 4 weeks out tomorrow and I feel like I am getting sick, would normally take NyQuil but wasn't sure about it.

I was.told jell caps aren't good right out sleeve surgery...its to soon.?

Maybe try to stick to liquid cold medicine if possible? I don't know anything about the gel caps, but if no one else does, then liquid would probably be the way to go.
